1. My main concept was about absolute values.
ReplyDelete2. I don't think I've succeeded my goals because the information in the lyrics weren't very in order and I don't think the sound effect was very good.
3. I learned throughout the process a few things. I learned how to right songs better in a more creative way and I think i learned more about absolute values.
4. I specially tried to put things in order and make the sound equally but it didn't come out so good.
5. I think I would give myself a B- or a B .
6. I think I need to practice more on staying on task and then edit my work later on. I think i try to edit my work in the beginning instead of writing down all my ideas and making it a more creative way.
1.I was trying to teach subtraction in integers.
ReplyDelete2. Yes, because we finished the song with details.
3.I learned how to subtract integers with integers
4.I helped Hojun make, edit, and give ideas for the lyrics to this project
5. I would give -A because I could have done a little bit more better
6. I think I need to improve more on conflict solving since Hojun and I were stuck at some point because we could not chose what music we should use.
1. I was trying to teach how to add integers.
ReplyDelete2. I don’t think it was that successful, because you can’t really tell what we are singing sometimes.
3. I learned that singing a song is actually really hard and my voice is really low.
4. I tried to sing so that people could hear what I was singing.
5. I would have given myself, B-~B+ maybe??? Because well, singing you can’t make it sound perfect, and the sound quality was okay and the lyrics matched with what we had to do.
6. I think I need to tell my partner my opinions more and stay on the task.
Self-Reflection Questions:
ReplyDelete(Done INDEPENDENTLY AFTER completing project)
Answer the following questions on the class blog under “Integer Song Self-Reflection.”
What math concepts were you trying to teach?
we were teaching adding integers.
Did you feel like you successfully accomplished your goal? Why or why not?
I think yes, because my group did well an doing the integers explaining but about the singing it wasn’t that good. Therefore, I think I need to improver more on singing.
What did you learn throughout this process?
I learned more about adding integers and by making the song, I improved the adding integers.
What did YOU specifically do to contribute to this project?
I did specifically do to contribute this project to know the basics of adding integers and more about adding integers. For example how to add integers when there is negative and positive sign.
What letter grade would you give yourself on group-work and why?
I will give to my group A- because it was our first project that we didn’t do that well and the singing part was not that good so I will give A-.
What one group skill do you think you need to improve on the most? (staying on task, contributing more, conflict solving, etc.)
Maybe, we need to improve on is conflict solving and do more singing.... ^^
Integer Song Self-Reflection Questions
ReplyDelete1. What math concepts were you trying to teach?
The math concepts that I am trying to teach were Distributive Properties.
2. Did you feel like you successfully accomplished your goal? Why or why not?
I feel like I successfully accomplished my goal but not very well. I think this because we did finish the song and we put examples and everything we could but I feel as if we could have done more it’s just that we couldn’t think of what to do.
3. What did you learn throughout this process?
I learned that it’s a lot more harder than I thought thinking of all the lyrics and singing the song with other people. Plus, we sounded a lot worse than I thought we would.
4. What did YOU specifically do to contribute to this project?
I think I mostly thought of most of the lyrics and edited our recordings on my macbook. I don’t think this is important but I handed the assignment in!
5. What letter grade would you give yourself on group-work and why?
I think I would give myself an A which would be around 95-97 because I don’t think I fooled around that much during the class time where we could work on our projects. Also, I tried to make the song the best we can with Lynn and June.
What one group skill do you think you need to improve on the most? (staying on task, contributing more, conflict solving, etc.)
I think one group skill I need to improve on the most is staying on task and concentrating.
1. Sean and I was trying to teach subtraction
ReplyDelete2. We could have been more detailed in our song
3. I have read some of the things that I have already know, but putting that into song was hard
4. Sean contributed some of the work, but we had trouble rapping and choosing the right music and rapping it
5. I would give it a B because our rapping was horrible, we tried to put soundtrack to it to make it sound better, but it did not improve that much
6. I think that I could've thought more about what songs to choose. I choose to rap because I thought that it was easy, but now I know to think more about it
1. What math concepts were you trying to teach?
ReplyDeleteWe were trying to teach what absolute values are and how absolute values could never become a negative integer.
2. Did you feel like you successfully accomplished your goal? Why or why not?
I do feel like I successfully accomplished my goal because I think our lyrics taught the lesson, and the song was sang fluently.
3. What did you learn throughout this process?
I learned that if you record with someone through skype, there is this weird beeping noise getting recorded also. This project helped me learn what it was like to create a new song with a friend. I also got more familiar with absolute values, and how they could be calculated.
4. What did YOU specifically do to contribute to this project?
I was a part in re-creating the lyrics of the original song ‘Sparks Fly’ by Taylor Swift. I also was a part in singing the song.
5. What letter grade would you give yourself on group-work and why?
I would give myself an A- for group work. This is because me and Yewon had equally contributed in creating the lyrics and singing the song. We also shared each other’s opinions and agreed to most of them. Still, we had some problems because we worked pretty slow, and didn’t have time to record together and had to record by skyping each other.
6. What one group skill do you think you need to improve on the most? (staying on task, contributing more, conflict solving, etc.)
I think I should improve on getting things done fast. If we would have finished the lyrics at home, we would have finished this project earlier, but because we couldn’t, we had to record online which made the sound a bit cranky.
